Volunteer Signups

Thank you to all our parent volunteers - we can't do it without you.

How to Sign-up for Shifts

A link to sign up for volunteer shifts will be emailed out to respective parents when volunteer opportunities become available.

Opportunities are first offered to the event's hosting division, before being shared to the whole Association.

Volunteer Program information can be found here:    CMHA Volunteer Policy

 HELPFUL TIPS

  • Select your shifts carefully and ensure you have no other prior engagements or conflicting commitments.  Cancelling shifts are not easy and request response may be significantly delayed.
  • If you are not able to complete your shift or find someone to fulfill it for you, please notify the Event Coordinator or Division Director ASAP.
  • Family members (older siblings/aunts/uncles/grandparents/ or any other person who you consider family), friends and/or fellow team parents are welcome to complete the shifts on behalf of your player.  Please note, prior experience, safety certification and age restrictions may be a requirement.
  • If you do have someone complete a shift on your behalf, please remind them to complete the QR code form at check in, notify the sign in volunteer of their name and ensure they include your player's name on the form.
  • Please use your cell phone number on sign up sheet.  This is so we can reach you on the day should there be any changes.
  • Keep note of the shifts you sign up for.  You will be required to provide event, date and times for queries.  This will also help you keep track of your completed hours.
  • Completing your QR code at check in ensures correct allocation of your completed hour credit to your player due to the time stamp on the form.
  • The QR form is not linked to TeamSnap.  Credits are a manual process and could take a couple of weeks to be updated, it at all.  Please remember this is done a a courtesy only.  Do keep track of the shifts you complete (event, date, time).
  • Completed volunteer hours are NOT transferrable.
  • Volunteer shifts can be assigned to another player/family at time of shift.  Complete QR form in your name and add the player name you wish to donate your shift credit to.
  • Siblings are not linked in TeamSnap.  If you have more than 1 player, please ensure you submitting your QR code forms to the correct player and you are tracking your hours.  The volunteer coordinator has no way of identifying siblings.
  • If you are still unsure of volunteer duties or requirements after reviewing the Volunteer Policy (linked above), please ask your Team Manager or Division Director.
  • If you need to contact the Volunteer Coordinator by email: [email protected] always include your full name, your player's full name and division along with a brief description of your query for a faster reply and resolution.
