What's Next?
Minor Hockey does not start until September, so there are a few months to wait until that starts up.
Other Options Are:
City of Surrey - offers Skating Lessons, Fun Hockey and Drop In Hockey at a very reasonable price:

Programs are offered at the various rinks around the City, and a variety of times, so that also makes it easier on parents to choose a program closer to your home. They also usually run a 'Power Play' league during the normal hockey season, if you are looking for a lower commitment level program in the Fall.
Excellent Ice (Surrey) and NHTC (Langley) are private facilities that also offer good programs.
Minor Hockey Registration:
Registration for Minor Hockey will open in late May or early June, depending on your Catchment.
Cloverdale MHA:
Hockey 101: a run-down of what to expect (U11 ice times are similar to U9): Intro to Minor Hockey for U7-U9 Parents
Catchment: you have to register in the catchment address zone that you live in: Address Zone
Registration information (will be updated for the new season by early May): New Player Registration
Financial Aid information (there are lots of programs to help with hockey costs): Financial_Aid Programs
