 PLAYER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY

This role is responsible for developing, and implementing a robust player and coach development program.  The ideal individual applicants(s) or company will possess a strong background in all of the following; coaching, mentoring coaches, administering coach/player development programs and on ice player Development.

All candidates/companies considered, must possess a strong hockey background and be certified with Hockey Canada and BC Hockey at a minimum High Performance 1 level.  All companies must have proof of Commercial Liability Coverage, minimum of $1 million. All on ice instructors must be associate members of BC Hockey, have completed Respect in Sport, CATT Certification and must provide and pass a criminal record check (CRC). The cost of the CRC, will be the responsibility of the individual or the member company.

Additional assets include; strong interpersonal skills, and great organizational skills.

This is a contract position and will involve approximately 30 - 40 hours per week of on ice instruction to players from the Initiation to Bantam levels, as well mentoring and supporting our coaches.  Due to the size and scope of this program, multiple providers will be considered.

 GOALIE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY

This role is responsible for developing, and implementing a robust goalie development program.  The ideal applicant(s) will possess a strong background in the following areas; coaching and on ice development of goalies, ability to administer and deliver a comprehensive goalie programs to promote and increase the number of members pursuing a long-term commitment to the Goaltending position.

All candidates/companies considered, must possess a strong hockey background and be certified with Hockey Canada and BC Hockey at a minimum High Performance 1 level.  All companies must have proof of Commercial Liability Coverage, minimum of $1 million. All on ice instructors must be associate members of BC Hockey, have completed Respect in Sport, CATT Certification and must provide and pass a criminal record check (CRC). The cost of the CRC, will be the responsibility of the individual or the member company.

This is a contract position and will involve approximately 2-3 hours per week of on ice instruction to Goalies from the Initiation to Midget levels. In addition, we are looking to provide mentoring to our coaches, through on ice sessions, to incorporate goalie specific hockey drills during team practices. Due to the scope of the program, multiple suppliers may be considered.
