Coaches Corner

We are now accepting applications for Coaches for the 2026-2027 season!

If you have questions, please email our Director of Hockey - Craig Sherbaty - doho@cloverdaleminorhockey.com.

Assistant Coaches are also welcome to apply, but we will not start working on Assistant Coach assignments until Head Coaches are assigned, and it is up to each Head Coach who they select as their Assistants.

Once approved for a team, all Coaches must complete the steps listed on the Team Officials Qualifications webpage. We host our own coaching clinics in most categories each season. Information on this will be provided once dates are confirmed with BC Hockey.

Bayne Ryshak

U18 A1

We are please to welcome Bayne back to the bench as the head coach of our U18A1 team. In his first year with CMHA Bayne coached our U15 A1 team to win the BC Hockey U15 Tier 1 Championship. Many of those U15 A1 players went on to graduate to Zone or CSSHL programs and were drafted by WHL teams. Bayne had two more successful seasons after this coaching our U15A1 team. Then in the 2024/25 season Bayne moved on to coaching our U18A1 team and led that team to a Provincial silver medal. He helped many of those players achieve their goal of playing junior hockey this season. Bayne is excited to continue working with our athletes coaching U18A1 once again. Bayne is an extremely experienced and well respected coach with an impressive resume and we couldn't be more thrilled to have him back!

This is my sixth season Coaching in Cloverdale at the A1 level. I am excited to coach in a highly respected association. I am looking forward to helping our Cloverdale athletes achieve their hockey goals and to being a positive influence on their lives.
