Player Transfers
A player is considered a 'Player Transfer' if they have previously played minor hockey in another Association or Province.
If your player has NOT previously played minor hockey in another Association or Province - please use the New Player page, as the process is different.
If your player was born outside of Canada and are registering to play hockey for the first time in Canada, we will require additional documentation to complete your registration. Please email our registrar - [email protected] for additional information.
STEP 1: Submit Required Documents via Email
The following information is required to process the transfer registration of your child in the Cloverdale Minor Hockey Association.
Please gather ALL of the below items, and send as pdf attachments in an email to the email address: cmha.playertransfers@gmail.
Registration will not be accepted without complete documentation.

Three proofs of residence (any 3 of the following are acceptable). | |
BC Hydro bill (complete statement including remittance stub)
Fortis bill (complete statement including remittance stub) Property water bill (complete statement including remittance stub) Above three are most preferred - alternates that are acceptable include: Internet and/or Cable Bill (complete statement including remittance stub) Property tax assessment or bill (include entire page that shows both addresses on top and bottom of the notice) If you do not have the above: Tax Statements (ie NOA, Child Tax, GST refund statement), MSP forms, Driver’s license with documented car insurance, School registration confirming address, or Renters insurance bills are acceptable. * Please note that cellular or home phone bills are not accepted as proof of residence. All proof of residence must be dated within 2 months of submission. |

If you are unable to provide PDF files, you will need mail the documents to our mailing address, or drop off photo copies of these documents to our 'Executive' mail box in Cloverdale Arena (in the hallway next to the stairs up to the stands)
STEP 2: Register Online and Submit Payment
Once the submitted documents have been reviewed and the transfer approved by Hockey Canada, we will let you know, and provide a link to the online registration for Transfer Players.
Full instructions, including payment information for both your registration and the transfer, will be provided in the online registration process.
Please note that player transfers generally are processed in priority after returning players if there is a waitlist for any divisions, and we also have to wait for transfers to be approved by PCAHA (or other regulatory bodies, if applicable) before we can process the transfer registration.
Your registration will not be confirmed until both steps are complete.

3rd or 4th Child??
Please email us if you are registering more than 2 players - we will need to arrange a discount for your 3rd/4th player.
Jersey Deposit Fee
$50 payable at first registration and retained by the Association. Refundable when you leave the Association.
Volunteer OPT OUT Fee (OPTIONAL)
The opt out option is a $300 fee. Full details are on our Volunteer Policy page.
Rep Tryout Fee (OPTIONAL)
Deadline for application and payment for Rep Tryouts is July 15th.
NOTE: exceptions can be made for players who move to the area after the deadline - please confirm this is still possible with the registrar before registering.
Payments:
Please see the Fees and Payments page for full details - we accept both Credit Card and eTransfer.
Payment as per the payment schedule must be up to date as of the start of the season before registration will be fully processed.
