Request for Proposal – Director of Hockey Operations
Each year as we approach the end of the current hockey season, our Executive team begins to plan for the following year. As part of this, we review and plan for all aspects of the coming season including (but not limited to) ice availability and scheduling, registration processes, coaching, player development, and team formation.
As part of this review, and as required by our Bylaws, the Executive is directed to complete reviews of our service providers on a bi-annual basis to ensure we have the best possible providers in place for our association.
In order to align with our Bylaws, we routinely will execute a Request for Proposals. This allows us to evaluate our existing provider(s) with potential providers that may be available in the market. Our last RFP for the Director of Hockey Operations (DOHO) position was five (5) years ago; as such, we will be posting a Request for Proposals for the DOHO role in the coming days.
It’s important to highlight that this process flows from the requirements of our Bylaws, and that proceeding with an RFP in no way represents any indication of concerns with our existing provider, Craig Sherbaty and his team. We respect Craig and his team immensely, and have shared with him that we welcome his team’s proposal to continue in the role of DOHO, which as part of the review process would be considered with other proposals received. The RFP process is the responsibility of the Executive, and an opportunity to review and ensure we are providing the best offerings to our members.
We invite responses to our RFP as follows:
