Welcome to the start of 2017 – 2018 Hockey season, we hope you are excited to hit the ice in a few weeks.
The Phase 1 Rep Player and Goalie schedules are now available on the web site, click on “Rep Tryouts and “C” Evaluations” tab, there you will find your division page as well as a link to the “2017 Rep Policies“ with a highlight of changes of the upcoming season.
It is very important that you check your division page frequently as there may be changes over the next couple of weeks leading up to the first skate on the weekend of August 24th.
Please note if your paper work (transfer) has not been approved by PCAHA your name will not appear on the REP Skate lists. You names will be added as your paper work is approved
We will also be using Team Snap to communicate through the tryout process. If you have not done so already please accept the invitation from your Division director, accepting the invitation which allows us permission to send emails.
Some other things of note…We will be enforcing the dress code rules for rep tryouts, which means no Spring Hockey equipment, including jerseys, socks, helmets with stickers or pant shells may be worn. Any player not conforming will be not be allowed on the ice. Please remember as well that if you miss a scheduled rep session, without prior approval from your division director, you will receive a 0 score for that session. This will dramatically impact your overall score.
Without volunteers we will not be able to complete the rep tryouts, your division director will be reaching out asking for your assistance. We require the following positions to be filled; Bench Persons, HCSP (Safety) and Timekeepers. Please respond when your DD ask for your assistance.
RPM will be providing independent evaluations for our players and Pro-formance Goalie Schools and Lynden Sanmartinno, will be providing evaluators for our Goalies this year.
A reminder that parents are not permitted to talk with the evaluators during rep process.
We realize that this time of year can be very stress-full for everyone. Please treat your Division Director and all your executive members with respect. If you have issue or concerns during the rep tryouts please reach out to your division director, or member of the Rep Evaluation Committee for your division (available on your division page).
The “C” evaluations for all divisions will start on either the 16th or 17th of September and end the weekend of the 24th. The drafts will be schedule the the following week and the season should start the last weekend of September.
Each player will have three assigned skates. We would ask that the players attend as many skate times as possible to allow for accurate evaluations, so we can create balanced teams.
